Alicia Gibson is running for election to the Edina City Council, and I am writing to give her my whole-hearted support. As a former City Council member, I recognize and respect Alicia’s dedication to public service, her commitment to good public process and her focus on finding solutions.

To Alicia, public service means learning about and responding to the needs and priorities of the community. Good public process means thoroughly studying the issues, seeking resident input at every stage, insisting on transparency and using city policies to guide action. Solutions are best found collaboratively, and creative ideas are welcome.
